This deck was an important step for me to wean myself off of the RTK decks. I made this deck from a list I found on the web. After I finished RTK 1, I had invested so much time into that deck that I was afraid to let it go. But it turned out that the time I was still spending on that deck was ruling my Japanese study world and costing me a lot of time that should have been spent moving forward and learning more vocab.
This deck provides one example vocab word (kanji compound) for each of the 2200 kanji in RTK 1, 6th edition. This deck is meant to replace your RTK deck after you finish it. Learning other vocabulary lists (which you should of course still do!), you may never again see some of the kanji you spent so much time learning. This vocab deck ensures that you will continue to be exposed to each of the 2200 kanji while learning vocab so that you can stay fresh with the kanji. At some point, you have to move on from the keywords and RTK if you want to get to fluency. This deck should help.
