This is a Physics deck, for the GCSE AQA Triple Science spec.
| Front | How do levers work? |
| Back | 1. A force is applied to one side, that is further from the pivot.2. The end of the other side is much closer to the pivot than the force is.3. Therefore, the moment caused by the force is larger (as M = Fd), so a greater amount of force is exerted on any object at the other end. |
| Front | What results should you see from the reflection/refraction practical, and why? |
| Back | 1. The angle of incidence and the angle of reflection are always equal no matter the material used for the block. This is because reflection is not dependent on the material used.2. The angle of refraction will be different depending on the material used for the block, as the amount the light refracts is dependent on the material of the block. |
| Front | Describe the relation between a satellite's speed and its orbiting radius. |
| Back | If the satellite's speed increases, its orbiting radius decreases (it orbits closer to the planet). If the satellite's speed decreases, its obriting radius increases (it orbits further from the planet). |
