DISCLAIMER: All of these sentences have been transcribed using AI and translated with either Google or ChatGPT. I've gone through everything and deleted most of the stuff that doesn't make sense, but please be aware. I've shown some to native speakers and they say it is pretty accurate.
This deck was made using a YouTube auto-subtitle generator extension and Subs2SRS. More info about how to make one of these decks yourself can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqtWRcqMKPY
Trying to learn Arabic but overwhelmed by the insane difficulty of all content that can be consumed in it? This deck assumes you have a basic knowledge of how Arabic works (conjugations, grammar, basic level) but lack the vocabulary needed to confidently listen to and understand news broadcasts. I have taken a bunch of Arabic-language news videos about stuff that has been happening throughout the year (US Election, wars in Ukraine, Palestine, Sudan, technology, Syrian revolution, etc) and fed them through the subtitle extension and Subs2SRS, creating Anki flashcards with all the sentences spoken throughout the video. Each card has the sentence, translation, an audio recording and a screenshot. The first few cards (July/August) are crappy but then I figured out how to get complete sentences.
Some of the cards have Forvo recordings of individual words within the sentences that I did not know prior to studying the cards.
Hopefully this makes Arabic more interesting!
