Hebrew Verb Conjugations Practice

This set is intended for practicing the conjugation forms of verbs in Past, Present and Future for all seven major groups of Hebrew Verbs in Modern Hebrew. There are around 300 unique verbs in this deck selected to represent regular and irregular patterns. Nearly every rule and exception case that exists in Hebrew is represented by a few verbs in this set.

Two types of cards are included: A 'Forwards' conjugation/Inflection in which a verb is to be conjugated to a form specified by a given person/pronoun and tense A 'Backwards' or analysis card where you must identify the verb's infinitive, tense, group and pronoun from its conjugated form

The cards have a randomization factor so that for each verb you will not be practicing only a single conjugation.

For efficiency and to match the common use of the language, the least common conjugation (future feminine plural) is excluded from the randomized selection, but it still appears in the conjugation tables that accompany the verbs. It can be re-added to the selection by modifying the skipUncommons variable in the code of the card's backside.

Some vocabulary used in the deck:

זמן - time: grammatical tense
בניין - structure: one of the seven groups of Hebrew verbs sharing similar conjugation patterns
גוף - body: grammatical pronoun or person
שורש - root: the core qroup of three (or four) letters that form the core of the verb and to which patterns are applied in conjugation
שם פועל - action name: this is the infinitive form of the verb
אני - I
אתה - you singular masculine
את - you singular feminine
הוא - he
היא - she
אנחנו - we
אתם - you plural masculine (y'all)
אתן - you plural feminine (y'all)
הם - they plural masculine
הן - they plural feminine
יחיד - singular masculine
יחידה - singular feminine
רבים - plural masculine
רבות - plural feminine
