🍒 Hi I'm Cherry! 👋

This deck contains basically everything in the AP Psychology curriculum that one would possibly need to know. It is the ultimate and most comprehensive deck you'll find on introductory college psychology.

This deck was created based on both the AP Psych curriculum outlines (2020, 2024) and Barron's AP Psychology (2016).

⬇️ Download the version of this deck that has images for free on kofi.

❗️ IMPORTANT:

This deck includes almost all the material for both the AP Psychology Effective Fall 2020 curriculum and Effective Fall 2024 curriculum. Overall, the cards in the deck are ordered by the 2024 curriculum, however there are many cards that you don't need to study if you're only aiming for the AP test and don't want to spend time studying 2020 curriculum material that won't be tested. Each card is tagged by their curriculum & unit, so I recommend searching tag:AP\_Psychology::2020 -tag:AP\_Psychology::2024 in Browse and suspending all those cards first (shortcut: ctrl-J). Then in the future you can un-suspend them if you want to learn more psychology.

⭐️ Features:

  • Almost every card in the deck contains an image
  • Every card is color-coded
(some cards may actually be uglier, which wasn't very Gestalt of me. If that's so then just edit the cards and remove the underlining/bolding/italics)
  • Every card is thoroughly tagged by their unit and topic # based on the AP Psychology Course and Exam Description, Effective Fall 2024.
This deck works with the Clickable Tags addon which I highly recommend.

Summary 1 REM atonia (when properly functioning)
Back Extra During REM sleep, most of the body's voluntary muscles are paralyzed in a state called REM atonia, which helps prevent us from physically acting out our dreams. However, this paralysis does not affect the oculomotor muscles that control eye movements, which is why rapid eye movements still occur during this sleep stage.
