German Verbs with Prepositions

This Anki deck features approximately 300 German verbs, each paired with its corresponding preposition, designed for efficient language learning through the Anki flashcard application.

About the Deck

These verbs were compiled from a variety of sources as part of my personal journey learning German. Each verb is translated into both English and Persian, and includes example sentences to demonstrate practical usage. While every entry has been reviewed for accuracy, minor errors may still exist. Corrections and feedback are welcomed.

Project Goals

• Comprehensive Coverage: Ranging from beginner to upper intermediate levels, this deck is designed to enhance vocabulary acquisition for learners at various stages.
• Multilingual Support: Translations in English and Persian make this deck accessible to a broader audience.
• Contextual Learning: Verbs are presented in sentences to provide context, improving understanding and retention.

Data Structure

The dataset includes over 292 entries organized into 11 columns:

• original_order: Numerical identifier for the sequence of verb entries.
• base_d (Base German): Base form of the verb in German.
• full_d (Full German): Full verb form including the preposition in German.
• base_e (Base English): Base form of the verb in English.
• base_p (Base Persian): Base form of the verb in Persian.
• verbformen: Column for various verb forms.
• s1: Example sentence in German using the verb and its preposition.
• s1e: English translation of the example sentence.
• s1p: Persian translation of the example sentence.
• Note: Column intended for additional notes.
• Tag: Tags or categories for sorting and filtering.

Handling Verbs with Multiple Prepositions

To address verbs associated with multiple prepositions, the initial display omits the preposition, replaced with "..." for users to guess the correct preposition by context. A tap on "Notes" reveals the full sentence with the preposition, enhancing learning through active recall and application.

Continuous Improvement

As the primary developer and user of this deck, I actively refine and update the content based on ongoing learning experiences, ensuring the deck evolves to meet learners' needs effectively.
