Biblical Hebrew Verbs (Oak Hill College)

Language/Hebrew
Biblical Hebrew Verbs in Unicode & Pictures This deck contains all strong and weak verb forms of Biblical Hebrew. They are included both as Unicode text and pictures, which makes it portable to virtually any platform, including AnkiDroid on Android. Using the Deck The deck works best when the default font Cardo is installed (available here). On older Android versions, Hebrew Unicode is not displayed correctly, which is the main reason for using picture files for the questions. In order to display the Hebrew of the grey info text correctly, check "Enforce RTL for Hebrew" in AnkiDroid's "Preferences|Other". This will display the consonants in the right order, but remove all pointing. Deck Content The deck contains the following fields:
  1. Hebrew - Verb form in Unicode
  2. English - Parsing of the verb form
  3. Weak Root - Traditional classification of weak verbs [Pe = I (1st root consonant), Ayin = II, Lamed = II]
  4. Notes - Additional information
  5. Number - This number is used to identify the right picture file; leave it empty when you add new cards with Unicode Hebrew that don't have a picture.
The standard card template contains fields 1-4 and the tags allow for filtering according to strong and weak forms. Have fun learning & reading Biblical Hebrew! SDG! Oak Hill College, London, Sep 2014
