Heavily modified and slightly expanded merge of
National capitals of the world (Updated 2013-10-11) and
Ultimate Geography: Countries, Capitals, Flags, & Oceans (Updated
before 2014-09-30).
A similar undertaking (modifying the Ultimate Geography deck) has been performed by
Ultimate Geography v. 1.0. I only noticed this work after finishing with mine. One of the advantages of my deck is the decoupling of the pronunciation information, making them optional to display on the cards.
Possible areas for improvement are:
- adding/replacing some maps. Possibly using some of the updated original version's assets), although the update from 2014-09-30 adds a lot of new information in an unsustainable format (again not using fields correctly);
- my work here and the work done on Ultimate Geography v. 1.0 could be cross-checked for completeness;
- I want to change the cryptic filenames to descriptive ones (e.g. Belgium-Flag.png, Belgium-Map.png, etc.);
- Ideally, I'd want to generate this deck programmatically from a data source like Wikidata.
