Math for Nursing!

Math
This deck was created for aspiring nurses or those going into the medical field and are required too take a course called math for health sciences. This deck has the formulas used in the textbook purchased by myself and other peers called Medical Dosage Calculations. It teaches the fundamentals of arithmetic and most importantly the core material of the course Dimensional Analysis. Throughout taking this course, I realized there weren't really any promising anki decks if any at all for this type of math class and although quizlet has some of the formulas covered in this course if you wanted to study the type of syringes or the flow rate formula, or the abbreviations like q8h, there were none that were actually helping me with the fundamentals. They were more focused on the basic side like the units of measurements or metric system. Therefore, throughout my experience in this course i made my own anki deck and created questions and cloze cards to help me remember these formulas and abbreviations that are just as important as putting in the work when actually applying what you've learned by solving the exercises that your professor my assign. Although this deck is very much made to help students, its also to help those in the work force who already have experience in a hospital or a more advanced position who would just like to review the material. The cards I've made in this deck are also tagged so if you click on the tags in the browser you can get to certain questions or cards that may benefit you and by all means if you need to change something, delete, suspend or whatever you may have or need to do go on ahead the deck is yours. Oh one last thing I did not add any of the arithmetic and algebra that is also used in this course because I wanted this deck to just be for the medical side. I'm sure you will be able to find plentiful of pre-made and quizlet decks on that content, I may make a deck for that stuff later on and update and link the deck here in the description I am not sure yet. As well as, I may make a corresponding quizlet/memrise deck for this content and link them in the description as well. However the main focus is to practice so while going through this deck make sure your actually using what you've reviewed or learned actively by solving equations in the book or using what your professor has given you because using flashcards only helps when you are actively participating else where that will help solidify your learning. I would even encourage adding problems to the deck to help you practice every now and again and adding pictures if it helps. I hope you are successful in your current or future endeavors and you find this deck as helpful as possible and if you could rate the deck, the more ratings this deck has the more likely others struggling to find a deck like this will be able to find it! UPDATE JUNE 2019 Because I've updated my kanji deck with this new information I thought I'd update here too, I learned of this really cool feature from a tweet while on the #MIApproach tag on Twitter, it's a timer for anki cards. Basically just input the code on the front or back of the card or even both sides, via the card template this should be done through the Manage Note Types settings. You can adjust the time by following the instructions on the site which is here in the description. Site: https://medshamim.com/med/anki-timer By the way just in case the post is deleted or whatever the case may be here is the code by the unknown dev. <span class="timer" id="s2" style='font-size:16px; color: #A6ABB9;'></span> <script> function countdown( elementName, minutes, seconds ) { var element, endTime, hours, mins, msLeft, time; function twoDigits( n ) { return (n <= 9 ? "0" + n : n); } function updateTimer() { msLeft = endTime - (+new Date); if ( msLeft < 1000 ) { element.innerHTML = "<span style='color:#CC5B5B'>TIME</span>"; } else { time = new Date( msLeft ); hours = time.getUTCHours(); mins = time.getUTCMinutes(); element.innerHTML = (hours ? hours + ':' + twoDigits( mins ) : mins) + ':' + twoDigits( time.getUTCSeconds() ); setTimeout( updateTimer, time.getUTCMilliseconds() + 500 ); } } element = document.getElementById( elementName ); endTime = (+new Date) + 1000 * (60*minutes + seconds) + 500; updateTimer(); } countdown("s2", 0, 10 ); //2nd value is the minute, 3rd is the seconds </script> Japanese Study If you are learning japanese and want to learn rememebering the kanji try out this deck that i made! https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1581827937 If you like study accounts or studyblrs check out my account here on instagram where i make announcements like when i create these decks for you guys! studygram: https://www.instagram.com/shimastudies/ Quizlet Flashcards here is the link to the corresponding anki deck turned quizlet deck! It does still have the tags in the answer section and its not as organized as the anki deck due to adding them to quizlets platform. However you should be alright because the tags are still there to guide you.
