Front Movements of the Thumb: Flexion (flexion/transpalmar adduction).
Back Flexor pollicis brevis by recurrent branch of median nerve.Adductor pollicis by deep ulnar nerve.
Front Pharyngeal Constrictor Muscles.
Back They constrict the pharynx.Their posterior attachment: pharyngeal raphe.Their anterior attachments:Superior constrictor: pterygomandibular raphe.Middle constrictor: greater horn of hyoid bone.Inferior constrictor: cricoid cartilage & oblique line of thyroid cartilage.Innervated by vagus nerve [X].

Back A1 arises from the volar plate of the metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint.A2 originates from the periosteum of proximal phalanx – strongest one.A3 arises from the volar plate of the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint.A4 originates from the periosteum of middle phalanx.A5 arises from the volar plate of the distal interphalangeal (DIP) joints.
