Sample Data

Front Why has the rate of photosynthesis stopped increasing?
Back At this point, light intensity is no longer the limiting factor Something else is now in short supply eg the level of carbon dixoide in the air We can now do the same experiment but increasing the level of CO2 instead
Front What are problems with reducing our carbon footprint?
Back Most of the solutions are expensive and people are reluctant to payThey are also inconvenient, as people prefer the convenience of driving over public transport
Front What happens when you touch a hot object? EXPLAIN THE ELECTRICAL IMPULSES LONG ANSWER
Back First the stimulus is detected by a receptor In this case the stimulus is heat and the receptor is in the skin Electrical impulses now pass from the receptor along a sensory neurone to the central nervous systemSensory neurones are connected to receptors and receptors allow us to sense our environment At the end of the sensory neurone is a junction called a synapse At the synapse, a chemical is released This chemical now diffuses across to a relay neurone in the central nervous systemWhere it triggers an electrical impulse The electrical impulse now passes across the relay neurone and reaches another synapseOnce again a chemical is released This chemical triggers an electrical impulse in a motor neurone The electrical impulse now passes down the motor neurone to an effector In this case the effector is a muscle The muscle now contracts and pulls the hand away from the heat Pulling the hand away is called the response
