Deck with Pictures for English Learners

Language/English

I'm willing to share a useful Anki deck with you. It contains flashcards with pictures on one side and their translations with transcriptions on the other. As the name of the deck implies, the crads represent everything that can be depicted by a picture, like body parts, animals, chess pieces, dishes, food, etc. Here's a quick breakdown of some pros and possible cons: ✔️ All the words were taken from computer games in English, and all the flashcards created by me with using the Cambridge dictionary. ✔️ If an item has a range of names, all of them are given (for example, "a clothes peg (UK) / a clothespin (US)", "a cello / a 'cello / a violincello (formal)". ✔️ Sometimes, if a picture is not clear enough, a supplementary definition is included under the picture. ✔️ Non-standard forms of words in the plural are included (those which plural form is not formed simply by adding -s or -es, for example "a deer (plural deer)", "an elf (plural elves)"). ❌ The flashcards are based on my own knowledge, so I didn't add words which I already knew well myself. ❌ There are no very simple and basic words like "a pencil", "a ball", "a banana", "a key" (but there is "a bunch of bananas" and "a bunch of keys", for example). ❌ Although I included both British and American spellings, all transcriptions use British pronunciation only.
