NEET NEETBiology Biology Class11 Living World Botany

This is a flashcard deck for all the chapters of Class 12th (except 'Molecular Basis of Inheritance'), based on the latest syllabus for NEET 2024. You can download other chapters by clicking on "The author has shared x other item(s)." below the title of this page.

⚠️TIP: When studying for the first time, focus on learning instead of answering, and when the next time the same card shows up again, then try to answer, so that you know what kind of answer you have to give and understand the question better. I hope these flashcards will help you in your preparations. Best of Luck for your NEET exam, do your best👍🙏.

Other Important Things - If you already have my other decks then during importing in the 'Updates' option in the import window, enable 'Merge Notetypes'

☑️ In the sets of decks you will get after downloading this, any deck with a '📖' emoji indicates that, the deck is completely made from NCERT pdf screenshots, As it takes a lot of time to type I decided to make Cards directly by taking Screenshots of NCERT pdf and hide important and hard words and terms, so in such decks, there are mostly images of NCERT with many boxes on them, click on the box and it will show the word behind it.

⭕⚠️🔴: Never Edit the 'IO' Field in such decks, it has the coordinates of the boxes and if you edit that field, it will delete or change the position of the boxes that are on the image. (If you don't know what this means then leave it)

If you find a mistake or feel like something should have been a bit different, go ahead and edit things as per your liking, and if you have any suggestions or corrections for this deck, please contact me on my telegram: https://t.me/CaptainDead159 My Spotify😉: https://open.spotify.com/user/kaoxg39hjqyiwbg5hozeqdjhy?si=159d3ec6dd9a4095

Text Chromosomal Theory of InheritanceIn 1900, three Scientists independently rediscovered Mendel’s results on the inheritance of characters. In 1902, {{c1::Walter Sutton}} and {{c1::Theodore Boveri}} noted that the behaviour of chromosomes was parallel to the behaviour of genes.Chromosomes and genes occur in pairs. The two alleles of a gene pair are located on homologous sites on homologous chromosomes.Independent pairs of genes segregate independently of each other. One pair of chromosomes segregates independently of another pair.Sutton and Boveri argued that the pairing and separation of a pair of chromosomes would lead to the segregation of a pair of factors they carried. Sutton united the knowledge of chromosomal segregation with Mendelian principles and called it the chromosomal theory of inheritance.{{c1::TH Morgan}} verified the chromosomal theory of inheritance which led to discovering the basis for the variation that sexual reproduction produced. Morgan worked with the {{c1::tiny fruit flies, Drosophila melanogaster}}.He found them very suitable for such studies because: (1) easy to grow in the laboratory. (2) Life cycle is of two weeks. (3) Single mating could produce a large number of progeny. (4) The male(smaller) and female (bigger) flies are easily distinguishable. (5) Hereditary variations can be seen with low power microscopes.
