Text blood supplysuperior epigastric artery is the direct continuation of the {{c1::internal thoracic}} artery. It enters {{c1::rectus sheath}}  ,{{c1::superiorly}} through its {{c1::posterior}} layer and supplies the {{c1::superior}} part of the rectus abdominis & anastomoses with inferior epigastric artery about the umbilical region. inferior epigastric artery arises from the {{c2::external iliac}} -  superior to the {{c2::inguinal ligament}}. It runs {{c2::superiorly}} in the {{c2::transversalis fascia}} to enter the {{c2::rectus sheath}} below the {{c2::arcuate line}}. enters the lower rectus.ab &anastomoses with the superior epigastric as said.
