3.0 Types of Entries
3.1 Symbols
する：→ Compound word. By attaching a suru, the compound word can be used as verbs.
Example: 左右する： to control, to affect
cf. → Marker is added to the entry for notes on usage or related vocabulary.
Example: 友だち: friend; cf. can be written as 友達
vt./vi. → Transitive/Intransitive verbs.
Example: 溶かす: to melt, to dissolve (vt.); 溶ける: to melt, to dissolve (as in salt in water) (vi.)
abbr. → Abbreviations of a compound word.
Example: 化学繊維; cf. 化繊 (abbr.)
e.g. → Example on how to use the word.
Example: 区: ward; e.g. 港区
Omission → Brackets can be omitted.
Example: （お）札
Word with many meanings
Example: 紅[こう] 葉[よう]、 紅葉[もみじ]
反. → Antonym words.
Example: 内側; inside; 反. 外側: outside
♢ → Difficult words but not on high priority to learn.
Example: 夏至: summer solstice ♢
「歴」→ Words that only appear in literature or historical writings, or words that are rarely used today.
Example: 弥生: March, the third month of lunar calendar, name of place in Tokyo「歴」
「特」→ Extremely rare specialised words, only used in special situations.
Example: 戴冠式: coronation ceremony「特」

P/S: It is better to use handwriting font instead. As redistribute copyrighted fonts may be illegal for some cases, unfortunately this font replacement has to be manually done. Refer Anki manual.
