This deck contains the 5,000 most commonly used words in German, along with example sentences and audio for both the words and sentences. There is at least one sentence for every word in this deck, totaling 5,087 sentences.
Noun words are color-coded by their gender: masculine nouns are blue, feminine nouns are red, and neuter nouns are green.
The data is from the book A Frequency Dictionary of German: Core Vocabulary for Learners (Routledge Frequency Dictionaries) by Erwin Tschirner and Jupp Möhring.
