New Spanish Top 5000 Vocabulary

A deck of the top 5000 most frequently used words in Spanish, with translation, audio pronunciation and example sentences in both Spanish and English. Ordered by frequency according to the 2017 "A Frequency Dictionary of Spanish, 2nd Edition" by Mark and Kathy Davies.

The example sentences were AI generated with GPT 4o mini, using this github package. All credit and thanks to the original creator. I only changed the formatting of where the examples are placed in the cards to make more sense to me. You'll find that the notes have a field for the examples in each language, so you may also place them wherever you like in the cards. The example sentences have not been checked for errors.

The audio is a text-to-speech male speaker with European Spanish pronunciation, generated by Microsoft's Azure AI Speech. If you would prefer a different configuration I'd recommend AwesomeTTS. The audio has not been checked for errors.

Due to the previous deck of this kind being very controversial because of it's images, I've chosen to omit them from my deck. I have, however, left an empty field in the note type, to make it easy for you to add them yourself. I'd recommend Batch Download Pictures From Google Images.
