This deck is an improved version of "Arabic Frequency List 1-5000" (https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/386349101).
I have added present tense forms of the 863 verbs present in the deck, and tagged them with "verb". This allows you to study the present tenses as well as the past tenses, all with correct vowels. Example: For the card with "Back" to get in touch ب with s.o., I have changed the Front to اِتَّصَلَ; pr. يَتَصِلُ from اِتَّصَلَ. pr. here stands for present tense, following the convention of the original deck.
I also have improved some of the erroneous definitions using the Arabic Oxford dictionary.
The top 5000 words by frequency of usage. They are sorted alphabetically in 1000 word chunks so they will not display in actual frequency order. This is a simplified 2 field version of an amazing spreadsheet created by Timothy Buckwalter that included unvowelled, vowelled, part of speech, SATTS, definition, and dialect grouping.
