English as a Second Language-Core (英语第二语言-核心.apkg) is part of a communication course developed for the Department of Food Science, China Jiliang University. The deck contains over 2,000 high-frequency phonetic words (cards) published by the American Literacy Council (
http://www.americanliteracy.com/Archives/ALC-ARCHIVE/April-2009/esl-strategies.htm). The card’s face contains an image with pronunciation. The back of each card adds a context sentence and the Google translation as “scaffolding”. To improve comprehension, a word’s meaning favors the science concept or the verb form. If appropriate, antonyms or related words were grouped together.
