Front Haber with Direct Object Pronoun: The verb "haber" sometimes requires the use of a direct object pronoun unknown in English. Note that the direct object pronoun in the following example is no longer neuter.
Back Hay chicas en la fiesta?          -       Sí, las hay.Are there girls at the party?    -       Yes, there are.

Front Note: The person acted upon is the direct object of the Spanish sentence. Therefore, direct object pronouns are used to replace, with one exception - les is used instead of los for the masculine plural.The men will be killed     -     Se matará a los hombres.They will be killed (men)  -     Se les matará.
Back The men will be killed     -     Se matará a los hombres.They will be killed (men)  -     Se les matará.
