Korean Grammar Sentences by Evita

Language/Korean
This deck is designed to make it easy for people to learn and review Korean grammar. The sentences are categorized into levels (using tags dif1 to dif7) so you can choose which level to start with. (You can suspend the cards that are too easy for you.) Level 1 is intended for people who have spent a few weeks learning the Korean alphabet and the basics of the language. Level 5 is the start of the intermediate grammar. The levels are a bit similar to the TTMIK levels (and a lot of sentences are from there) but I've moved some grammar points around based on how they are arranged in various textbooks and how difficult they are to learn. Here's a short description of each level:
  • level 1 introduces the Korean language and the basic sentence structure. It contains the simple past and present tenses, some basic particles and question words. Current status - 100% done (155 notes)
  • level 2 introduces more particles, more question words, the future tense, some other verb endings (-고 싶다, -고 있다, -야 되다, -ㄹ까요), the honorific form, numbers, time and date, and counters. Current status - 100% done (360 notes)
  • level 3 introduces sentence connectors such as -서, -러, -면, -는데, -거나, as well as more particles (로, 의, 보다, 에게, 이나, 마다), more sentence endings (-지 말다, -ㄹ 수 있다, -ㄹ게요, -ㅂ시다, -나요), etc. Current status - 100% done (508 notes)
  • level 4 introduces the adjective forms of action verbs, the -겠- suffix, patterns such as -네요, -ㄹ래요, -것 같다, -도 되다, -지요, -니까, -는지, -ㄹ 때, -려고 하다, -고 나서, -기 때문에, -아/어 보다, and more. Current status - 100% done (518 notes)
  • level 5 introduces constructions -게 되다, -잖아요, -거든요, -나 보다, 아니라, -에 대해서, -아/어 가지고, -ㄴ 지, -는다고 하다, -ㄹ까 하다, -처럼, -ㄹ 뻔 했다, -로 해서, -야겠다, -군요, -다가, -던, -아/어 있다, -아/어 보이다, -야지요, and more. Current status - 100% done (418 notes)
  • level 6 introduces constructions -을수록, -자마자, 대신에, -는 척하다, -ㄹ 만하다, -에 비해서, -는 대로, -기 바라다, -도록, -서 그런지, 얼마나 -는지 모르다, -더라고요, -ㄹ 테니까, -지도 모르다, -ㄹ까 봐, -느라고, -ㄹ 뿐만 아니라, -던데요, -만큼, -다면서요, -아/어 놓다, and more. Current status - 80% done (349 notes)
  • level 7 will introduce constructions -ㄹ 리가 없다, -고 보니, -는 편이다, -아/어야, -ㄹ 텐데, -아/어 버리다, -는 데다가, -야말로, -았/었더니, -는 탓에, -고 말다, 았/었더라면, -다니, -다 보면, and more. Current status - 30% done (146 notes)
If you are planning to take the TOPIK exam, this deck currently contains enough grammar for TOPIK 4. Once it is finished it will go up to TOPIK 5. Please do not misunderstand - this deck on its own is not enough to prepare for TOPIK because it doesn't contain enough vocabulary, but the grammar points are all there. This deck is set up so that each new grammar point is briefly explained in the first card it appears in. Some cards are tagged not only by their difficulty level but also by their level of politeness. There's also a tag called 'reported_speech' for cards with such sentences. There's also the 'irregular' tag for irregular verbs and the 'honorific' tag for sentences including "시". If you have any questions or comments, please click the Contact Author button. --------------------- If you like this deck, you might also like my other deck called General Korean Sentences by Evita. It contains almost a thousand various sentences. If you want to study vocabulary separately, you can check out my Korean Vocabulary Deck. P.S. You can open this deck with the program called Anki. You can download it here. After downloading you need to install it.
