Physics GCSE (AQA)

Physics

These are flashcards for GCSE physics. These flashcards are made using the AQA Physics Specification (for triple higher tier science), my notes, revision guides and textbooks. It covers the majority of the later content, although some of the earlier topics are not covered.

Topics NOT covered: 1.1.3) Energy changes in systems (RP1) 1.2.1) Energy transfers in a system (RP2) 1.3) National and global energy resources

3.1) Changes of state and the particle matter 3.2) Internal energy and energy transfers 3.3) Particle model and pressure (The whole of topic 3 is not covered.)

4.1.2) Mass number, atomic number and isotopes

5.1) Forces and their interactions 5.2) Work done and energy transfer 5.3) Forces and elasticity (RP6) 5.4) Moments, levers and gears 5.5) Pressure and pressure differences in fluids 5.6.1) Describing motion along a line

  • Required Practical 7 (in 5.6.2.2)

  • Required Practical 8 (in 6.1.2)

  • Required Practical 9 (in 6.1.3)

  • Required Practical 10 (in 6.2.2)

This means that the whole of topic 3 and most of topics 1 and 5 are not covered. However, almost all of topics 2, 4, 6, 7 and 8 are covered.

Hope this helps!

Sample Data

Front What is the standard symbol for an ammeter on a circuit diagram?
Back
Front What would you use alpha radiation for?
Back smoke detectors
Front What happens in terms of forces and energy when a force is applied to the brakes of a vehicle?
Back - work done by the friction force between the brakes and the wheel reduces the kinetic energy of the vehicle- and the temperature of the brakes increases.
