The Deseret alphabet was originally produced by Mormons in Utah, United States in the 19th Century. While it never caught on at the time, it has since been taken up as a point of cultural heritage, witnessed some internet attention, and can now be typed on PCs. I've made this deck to familiarise myself with the system. The scheduling is designed for you to to write and read the words as you go, eventually getting to grips with the system to use it yourself. Once you can use it yourself, start reading texts and so on!
This deck includes the letters (in upper and lower case) in copiable form, the IPA, the two posthumous letters, the names of the letters, and examples. Given the nature of Deseret being more phonetic, I have taken some liberties with the examples, using alternative pronunciations of the letters. Try pronouncing them and rewriting them yourself as you learn. There is no TTS.
