As you probably know, HSK was recently overhauled. The new version has a lot more words. So I made this deck.
- English definitions are taken from CC-CEDICT, except for about 300 words CC-CEDICT didn't know, their definitions were manually taken from various other dictionaries.
- I created an "Alternative" field with slightly modified english definition, specifically for the frontside of recall cards. Unlike the "English" field, the Alternative field has no hanzi. pinyin, surnames, names of towns/provinces etc., anything that could potentially "spoil" the backside (hanzi, reading etc.).
- Both types of cards have pinyin hint, recall has silhouette hint.
- About 1/3 of all words has example sentences, taken from tatoeba.org, No pinyin tho, just hanzi and english translation.
- All cards are sorted in the alphabetical order (pinyin), all cards also have numbers taken from the official PDF from chinese government. You can use it to quickly look up a word in the pdf file.
- I used the Microsoft Azure TTS (those high-quality neural ones) to add sound to all words, the only issue were the words with multiple readings, I will fix them manually in the future.
I haven't manually checked the whole deck, because that would take too much time and I haven't found any mistakes when I randomly checked some card. Thanks to CC-CEDICT,
