Most words have example sentences. The majority of sentences come from
http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/ but some from
http://ejje.weblio.jp/ and
http://jisho.org/ as well. It's a very personalised deck. I added furigana where I felt I needed it but not all words have them. There are very few katakana words as I felt it was a waste of time going over stuff like コンピュータ and ビール but other non-English foreign words that could pose a challenge such as アルバイトI usually kept. I've started adding * to sentences where I felt they could use some further explanation after the sentence and this was to remind me to keep reading instead of searching for information I already added to the deck before. Sometimes the best info I could find would be in all Japanese so I would just copy that. Ex:
弊社（へいしゃ）役員秘書職の面接にお越しいただき、ありがとうございました＊
Thank you for taking the time to attend an interview in regards to the position of Executive Secretary.
お越（こ）しいただき － 相手に自分のもとへ来てもらうことを丁寧に言う表現。「お越しいただきありがとうございます」などのように、他の語に繋（つな）げる言い方。
Very rarely I will add my own translation but those are preceded with a “NOTE:” I usually read the Japanese sentence, try to work it out in my head and then check the English translation after. Although The ankiweb sample makes it look like the sentences are just mashed together they are actually neatly spaced apart to make it easy to scroll as needed to only show the Japanese sentences before revealing any English. I am currently working on the JLPT 1 and 2 decks as well. Those two are not nearly as complete as this one but I will have them up soon and continue to update those as well from time to time. ALSO KINDA IMPORTANT I GUESS not all words in the deck or the other JLPT 1 & 2 decks are necessarily part of their “official” respective JLPT vocabularies. I just took a premade deck and customized the hell out of it. Anyhoo, that’s my spiel for today. Give it a try and lemme know what ya think! -last edit 2016-
