Russian for English natives, boldface stress

Based on "Russian Learners' Dictionary: 10,000 Russian Words in Frequency Order" by Nicholas Brown, who also authored "New Penguin Russian Course" (e-versions at https://archive.org/details/russianpanguin, plain pdf is only error-free format).

Intended to be used English->Russian direction by English natives at high intermediate or advanced Russian level. Set max review interval to 60 days and max reviews/day to approximately deck size / 60, so that entire deck reviewed periodically, to keep vocabulary active (about 20 minutes/day of review, after all words learned).

adj. adjectives (nadj. adjectives acting as nouns)

vb. verbs (vb.motion)

oth. adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, etc (oth.dir directions, oth.num numbers, oth.acr acronyms)

pl. plural only noun

loc. masc sg pr у/ю after в/на

acc. fem sg acc stress shift

indecl. usually neuter unless inherently masculine/feminine

dual. both masc/fem, ending а,я

nt. neuter ending мя,а,я

masc. masculine ending а,я,о,е

nouns ending ь: memorize rules and exceptions listed below, plus м.ь nouns, otherwise assume ж.ь.

м.тель (ж.тель exceptions гантель, добродетель, метель, постель)

м.ль place names (e.g. Севастополь, Константинополь, Тернополь, Мариуполь, Неаполь, Тирасполь, Cуздаль, Ярославль, Базель, Монреаль, Израиль)

м.рь (ж.рь exceptions дверь, тварь, гарь, корь, Сибирь, Тверь and other place names)

ж.сть (м.сть exceptions гость, тесть)

ж.жчшщь (no exceptions)

nouns ending unstressed ек/ец/ок: do not show mobile е/о.

nouns ending dual consonants or йк then а/я/о: do not show mobile е/о in gen plural (шка->шек, рка->рок, йка->ек, etc). no mobile e/o with ending тво/гро/рто.

verbs with no stress/stem change, endings ать ==> аю/аешь, ять ==> яю/яешь, еть ==> ею/еешь, уть ==> у/ешь, ить ==> ю/ишь, ить after б,в,м,п,ф ==> лю/ишь: do not show conjugation.
