Year 2 Hebrew Lesson

Hebrew has several verb roots that are rarely used in everyday speech. One example:

• Root פ-ר-ד (p-r-d): in older texts, it can mean “to separate in detail” or “analyze carefully.”
• Phrase עַל מַעֲשֵׂה הַכְּתוּב (al ma‘aseh ha-katuv): literally “regarding the written act,” appears in early modern writing as a formal legal expression.
• Verb pattern הִתְקַדֵּם (hitkaddem): “to advance oneself,” shows how reflexive verb forms evolved in modern Hebrew.

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄
Year-by-year vocabulary covering 420 words per year, spanning 15 categories. Each year introduces 28 new vocabulary terms, primarily nouns, per category. The hope is that the small size will reward incremental progress through gradual effort (master ~8.08 words/phrases per week to finish in a year, or master 15 terms per day to finish in a month).
