Being able to distinguish between similar phonemes aids in listening comprehension and pronunciation. Each card randomly plays the left or right option. I wanted it that way, so they could sink or swim together. Because with minimal pairs, if you don’t know one, can you really say you know the other?
Apparently, deck options don’t carry over. I recommend changing new card insertion order to random. https://docs.ankiweb.net/deck-options.html#insertion-order
These cards do not contain IPA or translations.
Anki version 2.1+ might be needed because it uses audio tags

Special highlight:
-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rJyDzDj3cY I strongly recommend watching this one. No word minimal pairs, but following her instructions on how to make the sounds ш and щ made hearing it when other people do it so much easier.

I also found
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z57XkijlXp4 for the difference between ч and ш but did not include it because I didn't need it.
Also this playlist:

Further Credits
The Anki card style was influenced by Fluent Forever's Russian pronunciation trainer (2017 version, if different)
https://fluent-forever.com/product/fluent-forever-pronunciation-trainer
I added 35 notes from the trainer out of about 89 to my personal deck (using my card type, of course).
