GRE Mathematics Subject Test Review
This Anki deck was created as a study aid for the Graduate Records Exam Mathematics Subject Test. Each of the eight subdecks in this deck correspond to a semester-long undergraduate mathematics course, with each card bearing the name of a topic that is typically encountered in its parent course.
To use this deck, have all of your undergraduate math textbooks at hand and begin the study session. Read the first card displayed on the screen, and locate the section of the appropriate math textbook that discusses this topic (you will have one minute to locate this information, so move quickly). Turn immediately to the practice problems for that topic and select a problem. You will have 15 minutes to solve that problem.
If you were able to solve the problem without referring to the discussion in the textbook, click the button labeled "Easy." If you were able to solve the problem with the aid of the textbook, click the button labeled "Good." If you were unable to solve the problem in the alotted time with or without the aid of the textbook, click the button labeled "Again."
You will review "Easy" cards two weeks after they were first studied, and "Good" cards one week after they were first studied. "Again" cards will reappear in your current study session until you mark them as "Good" or "Easy." If you cannot finish a problem in the allotted time, it is recommended that you conduct any repeats on a similar problem.
This deck contains 294 cards by default. You will eliminate four cards from that total with each day of studying. So, if you begin this deck at the end of the Spring semester and study it five days per week, you should complete it in less than two months (well in advance of the October or April GRE Math Subject test dates). Bear in mind that Calculus and Algebra constitute 75% of the content on the exam; Real Analysis, Probability, and Statistics are a few of the many additional topics that make-up the remaining 25%. These additional topics may be removed or replaced in the deck at your discretion.
