This deck contain some basic Japanese mimetic words. It is a copy of a deck that is no longer available on this site. I have added pitch accent information in the standard Japanese dictionary format. For example, the notation "[1]" after a word indicates that the word has a stress on the first symbol. For verbs, the accent is for the dictionary form of the word unless the inflected form is shown separately in the translation section. The pitch can vary depending on the part of speech for which a word is used. I use these abbreviations to show the separate pitch change:
副助動詞 副
名詞 名
形容動詞 形
So a marking like:
[1] 副
[0] 形、名
indicates the word has a stress on the first symbol when used as a 副助動詞, and is unstressed when used as a noun (名詞) or as an adjectival verb (形容動詞).
These sample sentences illustrate each grammar category:
副 ぐずぐずする
形 ぐずぐずになる
名 手のベタベタ
I have also added sample sentences for each vocabulary item, along with their pronunciation. These sample sentences are displayed on a new card type.
