On the front side, you’ll see the name of the city in kanji and a type-answer field where you type the kana (hiragana) reading. On the back side, you’ll find the reading, a map showing the city’s location, an audio of the city's name in Japanese, a photo of the city/landmark, and the population along with the rank number
For recalling the city location cards: on the front, you will see a map of the city location in the map of Japan, and a type in answer field where you type the city's name in kanji/hiragana. On the back side the map showing the city’s location within Japan, where it is located, an audio clip pronouncing the city's name in Japanese, a photo of the city/landmark, and the population along with the rank number
Everyone is welcome to use it, and feel free to give feedback if you know a way to improve it even further! 🙏 This deck is heavily based (almost exactly the same) on this Original deck: [https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1055778242] All I did was rearrange the anki browser using the city name instead of the citiy number and make all cards "type in" cards, I also added images of the cities themselves for reference. Most of these updates were done using scripts (for the photo of the cities) so if there is any mistake feel free to comment it
🧑💻 How to type Japanese on your keyboard On Windows / Mac: Install a Japanese IME (Input Method Editor) from your system language settings. Switch your input mode to Japanese — usually done by pressing Alt + Shift (Windows) or Command + Space (Mac) to toggle between languages. Make sure the IME is set to “Hiragana” mode. Type the romaji (e.g., toukyou → とうきょう) On Android / iPhone: Add a Japanese keyboard in your device settings → Language & Keyboard. Once installed, you can usually switch keyboards by pressing and holding the globe 🌐 icon (or space bar on some Android keyboards) to choose Japanese. Type, normally in hiragana.
