6.0 FAQ
1. Incorrect sequence of Order Due
If you’re importing deck to Anki iOS app for the first time, the Order Due does not follow according to my notes arrangement. This is a known issue for iOS where it follows the Card Created sequence but not for Order Due sequence.
(Step 1) Import File thru Android's AnkiDroid or using the Anki program for Windows/Mac.
(Step 2) Sync to AnkiWeb using your AnkiWeb account.
(Step 3) Login to your AnkiWeb on your iOS/iPadOS device and sync again for the exact ordering sequence.

2. Furigana Manual Toggle Mode
If you want to study the deck straight with the furigana mode on:

  1. Find the Card Template screen.
PC Mode: Enter the "Card Types" in the PC Card Browser.
Ankidroid: In the Card Review mode, on the top sidebar, tap the pencil icon. You can enable that Edit Note shortcut by visiting Preferences → Appearance → App bar buttons → General → Always show. If the icon is not showing by default, on the top-right corner, tap the three-dotted icon, and then Tap "Edit Note".
iOS/iPadOS: On the bottom-right corner of your card review screen, tap the gear icon. Tap the "Card Template" button.

  2. Tap the "Cards: Recognition" button.

  3. Edit
On the Front Template, change the following code:
    <span style="font-family:irohamaru mikami; font-size: 50px; ">{{Expression}}</span> into this code:<span style="font-family:irohamaru mikami; font-size: 50px; ">{{furigana:Reading}}</span>

  4. Tap the Tick icon when you’re done editing it.

  5. You will have your furigana mode on! To turn off the furigana mode, change the code from {{furigana:Reading}} to {{Expression}}.

3. Font used
Iroha Maru Mikami (いろはマル みかみ), a free Japanese rounded gothic font.

4. Card Arrangements
Q: Words arrangement are not the same as in the textbook.
A: Some words are introduced on earlier chapters. Hence, they are queued first. For example: KIC Red words > Black words > Symbol words; Lesson 1 > Lesson 10, etc.

Q: On KIC, I found that some words such as「八重桜」on page 3 does not tag with the special symbol. Why?
A: On the 968th entry, this「八重桜」word is marked on the Stage 2 category (without symbol). Stage 2 > Stage 3 = unmarked.

Q: KIC Stage tagging process?
A: Taking one example in 0037, when 本(ほん) is marked as Stage 1 and 本(もと) is marked as Stage 2, this combined entry will be tagged as Stage1 and Stage2 (separate words). If 今日(こんにち) and 今日(きょう) in 0027 are both marked as Stage 1, but 今日(きょう) in 0016 marked as Stage 2, this entry will only be marked as Stage 1 (repeated words = earlier introduced words will be marked at earlier Stage).

Q: And the sentences in the KIC workbook?
A: Not planning to add into the vocab deck.
