These flashcards cover all of the GCSE AQA Physics specification points. For PAGs, I would recommend using PMT / SaveMyExams.
| Front | Where is most of the mass of an atom concentrated? |
| Back | In the nucleus. |
| Front | Inside the body, what sources are the most dangerous, and why (order from most to least)? |
| Back | Alpha sources - do all their damage in a very localised area, so contamination (rather than irradiation) is the major concern when working with alpha sources - highest ionising power.Beta sources are less damaging - radiation is absorbed over a wider area + some passes out of the body altogether.Gamma sources are least dangerous - mostly pass straight out as they have the lowest ionising power. |
| Front | What is distance? |
| Back | A measure of how far an object travels. |
