AQA GCSE Physics

Physics

These flashcards cover all of the GCSE AQA Physics specification points. For PAGs, I would recommend using PMT / SaveMyExams.

Sample Data

Front Where is most of the mass of an atom concentrated?
Back In the nucleus.
Front Inside the body, what sources are the most dangerous, and why (order from most to least)?
Back Alpha sources - do all their damage in a very localised area, so contamination (rather than irradiation) is the major concern when working with alpha sources - highest ionising power.Beta sources are less damaging - radiation is absorbed over a wider area + some passes out of the body altogether.Gamma sources are least dangerous - mostly pass straight out as they have the lowest ionising power.
Front What is distance?
Back A measure of how far an object travels.
